We are sad to say we
unable to present our May and October plays this year as the Library
Theatre is still closed to the public. Instead we are planning for
2022 and hope we can give you One
Man, Two Guvnors in February and
FlatSpin in May, all being well.
Our regulars with
tickets for May20 and Oct20 will be given priority to attend these
shows in 2022. We will be in contact with you to exchange the
tickets 'new for old' at 2020 prices. At this difficult time, we
really need your support more than ever.
We have no intension
of giving up on the Library Theatre. We are keeping a close eye on
the situation for February as present restrictions mean we cannot
commit to a production but if things change, we will let you know.
In good faith, we
have booked our regular slots at the Library Theatre.
Here are your diary
Tuesday 8th to Saturday 12th
Two Guvnors by Richard Bean;
an English adaptation of Servant of Two Masters,
a 1743 Commedia dell'arte style comedy play by the Italian
playwright Carlo Goldoni and produced by Tudor Players in
February 2011. This version replaces the Italian period setting
of the original with Brighton in 1963 and had a brilliant run in
London's Westend in 2011 and again on Broadway in 2012;
May 2022, Tuesday 10th
to Saturday 14th
FlatSpin by Alan Ayckbourn;
play, the second in a trilogy of plays called Damsels in Distress
set in the London Docklands. It is about an actress called Rosie
Seymour who accepts a date with a mysterious Sam Berryman, who seems
to have mistaken her for the owner of the flat, a Joanna Rupelford.
Tuesday 18th to Saturday 22nd
by Amanda Whittington
