Tudor Players present "Wyrd Sisters" by Terry Pratchett, adapted for the stage by Stephen Briggs
Terry Pratchett takes Shakespeare's Macbeth and then turns it up 'till the knob comes off. It's all there - a wicked duke and duchess, the ghost of the murdered king, dim soldiers, strolling players, a land in peril. And who stands between the Kingdom and destruction? Three witches. Granny Weatherwax (intolerant, self-opinionated, powerful), Nanny Ogg (down-to-earth, vulgar) and Magrat Garlick (naïve, fond of occult jewellery and bunnies).

Wyrd Sisters is Terry Pratchett's sixth Discworld novel, originally published in 1988 and adapted for the stage by Stephen Briggs in 2013 to mark the 25th anniversary of the book.

Tudor Players will be supporting Ashgate Hospice with this production, in memory of our friend Rod Duncan, long-time and much-missed Tudor Players director and actor who died in 2024.
Rod was a huge Terry Pratchett fan and would have loved being involved in this production. He composed some original music for a Gosforth Youth Theatre production of Wyrd Sisters and we will be using his music, wonderfully arranged and performed by Steve Mitchell, during this production, making this an extra special and unique production of Wyrd Sisters.
