Comedy and Drama since 1967
Written by Steven Moffat (Dr. Who, Sherlock)
Directed by Phil Gascoyne
Thank you to everyone who came to see this production, it was a joy to perform and we had a successful run despite the unfortunate cancellation of the Friday performance!

Whilst on holiday, Peter and Debbie befriend Elsa; a lusty, Trump-loving widow from Denver, USA. They agree to stay in touch. And why not? Because no-one ever really does, do they? But when Elsa invites herself to stay a few months later, they decide to look her up online. Too late, they learn the truth about Elsa Jean Krakowski!
A hilarious and satirical look at middle-class England’s disastrous instinct always to look nice!

Steven Moffat is one of the most prolific TV writers of the last 40 years, with credits spanning Press Gang, Coupling and Dracula, as well as Dr. Who and Sherlock
The Unfriend is Moffat’s first stage production; after a successful run at the Chichester Festival Theatre (directed by Mark Gatiss) , the London production at Wyndham’s Theatre in 2023 starred Lee Mack as Peter and Sarah Alexander as Debbie

If you enjoyed The Unfriend, book now to see our next production, The Whitby Rebels, which runs from 9th - 13th June 2026
In Whitby Harbour, in the summer of 1991, something extraordinary happened. A humble pleasure boat set sail for the Arctic, crewed by misfits, pensioners and the vicar for Egton and Grossmont. The mission? To erect a plaque on a volcanic island hundreds of miles north of Iceland
The boat was illegal, the crew untrained and the plan…unhinged!
A joyful, (mostly) true story of British eccentricity and determination!
